What exactly gets removed?
Everything outside the pixels: GPS coordinates, camera make and model, lens, exposure settings, capture date, software tags and embedded thumbnails. The visible image is untouched.
Why should I strip EXIF before sharing a photo?
A phone photo usually embeds the exact GPS location where it was taken. Post it and anyone can read where you live, work or were standing. Stripping metadata removes that risk without changing the picture.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. The re-encoding happens entirely in your browser — photos never leave your device, which is rather the point of a privacy tool.
