Frequently Asked Questions
Is the redacted content really removed?
Yes. Applying the redaction flattens the pages so the covered content is destroyed, not just hidden behind a box — it cannot be copied or revealed afterwards.
How is this different from drawing a black rectangle in an editor?
A plain rectangle only covers the text; the words remain in the file and can be selected or extracted. True redaction removes the underlying content entirely.
Are my confidential files uploaded?
No. Redaction happens locally in your browser, so sensitive documents never leave your device.
