Frequently Asked Questions

What is PDF/A and why use it?

PDF/A is an ISO-standardized version of PDF designed for long-term archiving. It embeds all fonts and resources so the document renders identically decades from now, and many authorities require it for official submissions.

What changes during conversion?

Fonts are embedded, colors are normalized and features that PDF/A forbids — like JavaScript, encryption and external references — are removed or flattened.

Will my document still look the same?

Yes. The visual content stays the same; only the internal structure is adjusted to meet the archival standard.
