Frequently Asked Questions
How accurate is the text recognition?
On clean screenshots and well-lit scans, accuracy is typically above 95%. Handwriting, low-resolution photos and stylized fonts recognize worse — a sharp, straight-on photo makes the biggest difference.
Which languages are supported?
English, Spanish, French, German, Italian and Portuguese. Picking the right language matters: the engine uses it to resolve ambiguous characters.
Is my image uploaded to a server?
No. The OCR engine (Tesseract, compiled to WebAssembly) runs inside your browser. The language model downloads once and is cached; your image never leaves your device.
